Teasers for trailers appear to be a marketing trend that is sticking around, at least until studios figure out how to shoot ads directly into our brains. But when the latest short tease offers a glimpse at new Iron Man 3 footage, we’re not going to complain too much. Check it out below.

It’s all part of the campaign around the film’s Super Bowl TV spot, which will debut on Sunday during the game.

The Super Bowl has been a big market for short film trailers for several years now, and the studios spend millions buying ad time. This year, we can expect to see spots for Star Trek Into Darkness, The Lone Ranger, The Fast And The Furious 6, Oz The Great And Powerful and Oblivion. Plus** World War Z** will apparently have something during the pre-game segment. At this pint, we’d like to have seen a zombie half time show…

But back to Iron Man 3. In addition to the spot tease, Marvel has also put a new poster online, which shows that Tony Stark will really have a very, very bad day in the film.

With Shane Black directing and Robert Downrey Jr, Don Cheadle Gwyneth Paltrow, Jon Favreau, James Badge Dale, Ben Kingsley and Rebecca Hall (whose role we heard a little about yesterday) also among the cast,** Iron Man 3** is out on April 26, and you can read more about it in the new issue of **Empire, out today.
