In case you weren’t aware – perhaps you live under a rock, or in a bunker preparing for a potential apocalypse brought on by the spread of cordyceps – the series adaptation of one of the biggest and most beloved video games in the world, The Last Of Us, has finally arrived on the small screen (to critical acclaim, including our very own five-star review). Or, perhaps, you were aware of _TLOU’_s arrival, but haven’t been able to watch it yet, if you’re not a Sky or NOW subscriber?

Good news! Sky and NOW have released the entire feature-length first episode in the UK on Sky TV’s YouTube channel – giving everyone (on this side of the pond, at least) the chance to see just what all the fuss is about. Watch it at the link below:

The first episode comes complete with a bone-chilling prologue (delivered largely by an excellent John Hannah), a heart-pounding race to survive the beginnings of the deadly infection spreading, and a time-jump showing what becomes of the world after it almost ends. The iconic characters from the game, Joel and Ellie, are embodied immensely well by The Mandalorian himself, Pedro Pascal, and Bella Ramsey, who you may remember from a little show called Game Of Thrones. This YouTube release comes ahead of the third episode (somewhat of a standalone instalment, starring Nick Offerman and Murray Bartlett) dropping on Monday – and trust us, that’s one you’re definitely not going to want to miss. Plus, we’ll be sharing our first The Last Of Us Spoiler Special podcast episode, digging deep into Episodes 1-3 and speaking to creators Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann, on the Pilot TV+ feed on Monday – sign up here to hear it.

The Last Of Us releases weekly on Sky Atlantic and NOW.
