So here's a casting connection you might not immediately have made: The Wire's Bunk, aka actor Wendell Pierce, has signed up to join the cast of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, to play an as-yet unnamed character.
He's one of eight new names announced for the film today by Summit, including Olga Fonda, Janelle Froehlich, Masami Kosaka, Sebastiao Lemos, Amadou Ly, Ty Olsson and Carolina Virguez. No, us either. But a couple of these people work principally in South American TV, so we're guessing that they're either part of the Amazonian Coven of vampires, or merely people that Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson) meet on their journey to their honeymoon destination on a Brazilian island.
The fourth and fifth films in the series, since the last book is broken in two, will be out on November 18 next year and November 16, 2012. In the meantime, we can only hope that any of Pierce's scenes play half as well as this Wire classic{
