They may end up regretting this, but Willem Dafoe, French actress Emma de Caunes (who will be seen in Michel Gondry’s The Science Of Sleep) and thesping legend Jean Rochefort have signed up to play supporting parts in Bean II.
Steve Bendelack – who was behind the camera for The League Of Gentlemen’s Apocalypse – has kicked off shooting for the film in Paris, which will see the hapless weirdo (Rowan Atkinson) entering his holiday film in Cannes. We hope they realise what they’re getting into, but considering that de Caunes is the daughter of Eurotrash presenter Antoine, she probably knows a lot about silly nonsense. Oh, and chances are they looked at the original film’s smash-hit box offices success and figured that chances were good this one might perform as well.
