Yes, Russell has somehow convinced **Silver Linings Playbook **stars Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence, along with The Fighter’s Amy Adams and Christian Bale and new recruit Jeremy Renner, to don some spectacular 1970s/80s gear for his latest outing.
The film finds Bale as Irving Rosenfeld, a Bronx-raised con man who arouses the suspicions of driven FBI agent Richie DiMaso (Cooper).
Under threat of prison, DiMaso forces Rosenfeld and his lover/accomplice Sydney (Adams) to work up the Abscam sting, which saw a US senator and five congressmen convicted on corruption charges. {American Hustle}
