Two new Super 8 clips online? (Adopts Ferrero Rocher advert voice): “Why, Mr Abrams, you are spoiling us!” Okay, not so much. That Abrams is not really one to let big spoilers out of the bag, but following on the heels of the TV spot that emerged last week, these new clips offer a tantalising glimpse at the film. You can watch them below.
And while there aren’t big reveals to be found here – it’s not like we get a look at the nasty whatever-it-is at the heart of the movie – those of a sensitive nature might want to skip the clips for fear of seeing anything that could taint their movie going experience.
But what this new footage does is show the young cast, including Elle Fanning, Joel Courtney and Gabriel Basso, starting to shoot their movie when the massive train crash glimpsed in the teasers interrupts them. We’re also treated to huge pyrotechnics as the train explodes and one cargo car in particular comes to a nasty end. All as the downed super 8 camera keeps rolling...
