Indy 4 Filming In June

Fresh from handing his old chum the Best Director Oscar on Sunday, Steven Spielberg has revealed The Fourth Instalment of The Indiana Jones Adventures will begin shooting on June 18th. That gives the 64 year-old Harrison Ford just over four months to get into whip-cracking, hat-retrieving shape. And according to M&C, the actor has already begun a punishing training regime: "He's been furiously working out on the treadmills at a Los Angeles gym for about three hours a day to get in shape,” reports a source close to the actor: "He's on a strict high protein diet. He's eating lots of fish and vegetables. It's hard but he's already looking great for it. He wants to make sure Indiana is as tough as he always was”.

Currently, Ford is the only member of cast confirmed to star in the Lucas/Spielberg project and we’re going to have to wait another 15 months to see exactly how Indy makes his big comeback.

Star Trek XI Casting Rumours Begin

It’s been a mere thirty-six hours since JJ Abrams was officially announced as the director of the next Star Trek movie, but the rumour mill has already begun churning out possible candidates for the crew of the Starship Enterprise. Matt Damon, Adrien Brody, Gary Sinese, Daniel Dae Kim and James McAvoy, are all rumoured to be in talks to lead the eleventh Trek flick. As previously reported, the movie looks set to be a prequel of sorts, with the story built around Kirk et al’s early days at the Starfleet Academy. IGN reports that Adrien Brody is being considered for the role of Spock, whilst Sinese could play Dr. McCoy and Damon take on Kirk himself. Kim is a very early possibility for Sulu, and there has been another flurry of chatter concerning McAvoy as Chief Engineer, Scotty.

Update! Paramount have revealed that Star XI now has a release date - Christmas Day 2008. The film will begin shooting in the autumn.

Hulk To Hit Canada

The Incredible Hulk is headed for Toronto. His new movie is expected to shoot for four months and the Canadian city will be a principal location for Louis Leterrier to film the Jolly Green Giant’s 2008 return. The cast has yet to be announced – although Adrien Brody (yes, the chap from the paragraph above) is rumoured to be attached to the project. So, if you live in the city and happen to see a large green behemoth stomp past your window this summer, there really shouldn’t be any need to panic.
