Marty and Marky Back Together

Most of the internet is still going doolally over the Spider-Man 3 footage (here) so it's a little slow in the round up today. But we've brought together a few nuggets, because we love you and that's what we do. First up, Mark Wahlberg and Martin Scorsese are totally sitting in a tree. Having worked their way to mutual Oscar nominations (and a win for Marty) for The Departed and plans to work on a sequel, the pair are collaborating on a TV project for HBO. They'll executive produce a drama chronicling Atlantic City's transformation from sleepy beach resort to gambling den little brother of Las Vegas. The title, Boardwalk Empire: The Birth, High Times and Corruption of Atlantic City, may be a little long to get on a promotional mug, something Sopranos-esque with these two at the wheel could be something very special indeed.

Hellboy 2 Starts Filming In May

Guillermo Del Toro, unfairly personally snubbed by Oscar, will call the shots on Hellboy 2: The Golden Army in May. He'll be dragging his cast to the wilds of Budapest for the film that, according to an interview Ron Perlman (who portrays the satan spawn) gave the LA Daily News, will "have an epic quality" and "continues to explore all the things that are great about this character – a superhero who is such an underachiever and an adolescent".

McG Loves Losers

McG, a man who, it's fair to say, is not beloved by the internet community, is taking his life in his hands by reportedly considering a comic book adaptation. He's circling Losers, a story of Special Forces soldiers who declare war on the CIA after the agency tries to assasinate them. Which is really kind of fair enough. Peter Berg (Friday Night Lights) was once attached to direct, but is now not. Obviously.
