It’s always a risky proposition when two of the creators behind a controversial movie adaptation of a beloved, nostalgia-ridden concept get out on the Internet to meet the fans and answer questions. The response can range from sensible questions to vitriol of the same acidic quality as xenomorph blood.

So pity writers Alex Kurtzman and Bob Orci, who are taking part in a live online video Q&A session at Yahoo Movies to answer fan questions about Transformers. They’ll also be announcing the names of the Autobots and Decepticons who will actually be appearing in the film (until now, most of the battling ‘bots names have been hidden by fake titles and code words.

Their appearance comes hot on the heels of Internet leaks surrounding possible looks for head Autobot Optimus Prime that is already generating plenty of debate. If you want to watch the Q&A, head over to Yahoo Movies’ site hereat 7:00pm UK time (that’s 11:00am PST for US types). Anyone wishing to submit questions that might just get an answer (please, no “Why does Michael Bay suck so hard?”) can find a direct link to the e-mail address at the official sitehere.
