We've already brought you a first look at Claire Foy and Benedict Cumberbatch in quirksome new biopic The Electrical Life Of Louis Wain . Then, there was the poster, followed by news on the various cameos and smaller roles from the likes of Taika Waititi and others. Now comes an actual trailer which, as you might expect, features plenty of moggies...

Set between the late 1800s and 1930s, the story follows real-life artist Wain (Cumberbatch) on his journey of supporting his family and eventually falling in love while capturing the “ridiculous, frightened and brave” nature of cats and their world. His life included falling for the family's governess, Emily Richardson (Foy) and the darker turns it all took as his desire to unlock the "electrical" mysteries of existence affected his health and his finances.

Will Sharpe, best known for Flowers, directs and wrote the script with Simon Stephenson based on the latter's story. The cast also includes Waititi, Olivia Colman (who narrates), Richard Ayoade, Aimee Lou Wood, Nick Cave, Toby Jones and Loki's Sophia di Martino. It'll hit US cinemas on 22 October and arrives on Amazon Prime Video there on 5 November. In the UK, it'll be out via StudioCanal early next year.
