Stopping Power Back On

A couple of weeks ago it was reported that Jan De Bont's John Cusack starring thriller Stopping Power, had added the lovely Melissa George and the quite awesome Jason Isaacs to its cast. It was then reported that it had been shut down, not due to the aforementioned casting decisions.

The $40 millon production had struggled to find backing and was forced to put off filming indefinitely. But, lo, it has now found $40 million down the back of the sofa behind an old Chewit. Or from someone called R Media Acquisitions LLC. Whichever.

The movie sees Cusack as a man desperate to rescue his daughter, who was unfortunately in an RV that was stolen by a criminal (Isaacs). Isaacs then forces Cusack to help him escape, by acting as a decoy. Melissa George plays Cusack's girlfriend.

Now, somebody stump up the cash for Meg, please. We need to see a super giant shark eating boats and we are prepared to stump up £4.53 of our own cash to make it happen.
