Rambo IV continues to trundle slowly into production, and it’s finally got a draft of the script and a start date.
Entertainment Weekly tracked down John Rambo – AKA Sylvester Stallone - to discover what’s happening with the film. Stallone has apparently written a first draft screenplay and plans to start shooting in October in Thailand.
According to Stallone, he rang Solder Of Fortune magazine to ask who Rambo should tackle next: 'What is the most critical man-doing-inhumanity-to-man situation right now in the world? Where is it?'"
The answer? Burma.
So the current storyline sees Rambo living a secluded, basic lifestyle in Bangkok, salvaging old boats for metal. But when a group of aid workers in Burma vanishes, one of the missing volunteers’ relatives begs the one-man army to help find them. So, never one to pass up a chance for gunishment, Rambo recruits some young warriors to help him deal with the situation.
There’s no word on a release date – Rambo IV doesn’t even have a distributor yet.
