To liven up your Thursday, here's an action-packed clip from Mel Gibson's new film, How I Spent My Summer Vacation. Directed by Apocalypto First Assistant Director Adrian Grunberg, and written by Gibson and Grunberg together, this looks like a zany action-y throwback. And that might be a good thing. Whatever you think of Gibson's personal life, he's always known how to play zany action.

brightcove.createExperiences();The story sees Gibson's career criminal Driver (seems we've heard that name before recently) thrown into a prison south of the border. He survives the tough environment with the help of a 9 year-old - although judging by the language in this snippet, that doesn't make him moderate his language.

How I Spent My Summer Vacation is out in the UK on May 11, well in time for summer holidays, so that's nice. But what do you think of this clip? Won over? For more from Gibbo, check out the latest issue of Empire and our awesome **Lethal Weapon reunion.
