The Social Network Gets A Teaser Trailer

We’ll admit that West Wing creator Aaron Sorkin is worshipped and praised like a living deity here at the Empire offices, so we have high hopes for his latest cinematic outing, **The Social Network **– otherwise known as ‘The Facebook Movie’.

Aaron Sorkin not interesting you? Well there’s also the fact that it’s being directed by Fight Club and Se7en’s David Fincher, and it’s starring, as Mark Zuckerberg himself, Adventureland and Zombieland’s Jessie Eisenberg (who’s still pitching for it to be renamed Facebookland*), as well as Andrew Garfield (Dr Parnassus, Boy A) and the somewhat underrated Justin Timberlake (who was pretty damn good in Alpha Dog).

If you were worried Aaron Sorkin’s dialogue-heavy scriptwriting might have faded away after all these years, worry not, as this teaser trailer is pretty much just that: heavy dialogue.

It’s tense. It’s dramatic. It’s… exciting? What do you guys think?

We’re reserving any sort of judgement on this one, especially as it is a story that many already know, and also because, well, is it about a social media site. What are they going to do with it? Will you ‘like’ it? We’ll find out on October 11, it seems.

Not in anyway true. We hope.
