Shaun Of The Dead

Given how we're all supposed to be social distancing and self-isolating in this time of Coronavirus, it's natural that Shaun Of The Dead is among the films people either want to watch or put up as memes online. Now co-writer/co-star Simon Pegg and co-star Nick Frost have put up a funny little video offering advice for those who need to stay in, which riffs on their famous apocalyptic zom-rom-com. Check it out...

Naturally, there is discussion of the pub, of what to do when an elderly relative is ill (no killing, please) and even a deconstruction of one of the jokes in the film that is more problematic these days.

Mostly, though, it's a chance for the two old friends to make jokes and offer a few laughs at a time when they're needed more than ever. And yes, there is a toilet paper gag.

Meanwhile, their Shaun colleague and co-writer/director Edgar Wright is part of our campaign to Celebrate our Cinemas, which you can find here. And for those staying home, here are our suggestions for what to watch.

Those after more from Nick and Simon can recall that they'll be back on our screens in paranormal hunter comedy Truth Seekers (with Nick starring, Simon popping up occasionally and a script from the pair plus Nat Saunders and James Serafinowicz). It'll hit Amazon later this year and you can read more right here.
