OK, this is getting ridiculous now. As if we weren’t looking forward to Simon Pegg and Nick Frost’s sci-fi comedy, Paul, enough already, they’ve only gone and bleedin’ well added Seth Rogen, Jason Bateman, Kristen Wiig, Bill Hader and Jane Lynch to the cast, ratcheting up our anticipation levels yet further.

For now the movie, in which Pegg and Frost play two British geeks who accompany an alien on a road trip across the States, is like a comedy face-off, pitting our finest against the best that North America has to offer.

The Canadian Rogen will lend his voice to Paul, the titular character discovered by Pegg and Frost’s Graham and Clive after he escapes from Area 51. No word yet on the roles that Bateman, Wiig, Hader and Lynch will fill, but their presence alone is hugely exciting.

Bateman, of course, is the star of **Arrested Development **and the master of the wry, understated one-liner. Hader and Wiig are, hands down, the funniest peeps on SNL right now (and starred together in Adventureland recently), while Lynch has been quietly stealing scenes from the Frat Pack in the likes of The 40 Year-Old Virgin and Role Models.

Shooting begins on the Greg Mottola-directed, Pegg/Frost-penned movie in June.
