Queen Latifah is pretty remake happy of late. Last year she toplined a reworking of 1950 comedy The Last Holiday, this summer she'll appear in sort-of-remake-with-added-songs-and-jazz-hands Hairspray and now she's signed to take the lead in All of Me, a new version of the much loved (at least round these parts) Steve Martin comedy.

The original 1984 Carl Reiner directed film featured Martin as a lawyer whose mind, through a sequence of improbably events that you could get away with in the '80s, becomes a squat for a dying heiress (Lily Tomlin). Much schizophrenic battle of the sexes comedy ensues; everyone has a good time.

It's not yet clear whether Latifah (Her Highness?) will be taking the Martin or Tomlin role. Hairspray director Adam Shankman will produce.
