With the increasingly crowded marketplace for movies these days, it’s becoming less and less unlikely for two trailers to show up online on the same day. Well, now DreamWorks Animation has decided to shove that boundary aside and stick up not one, but two trailers for its new animated releases. Though technically, the Puss in Boots promo is more of a teaser.
Don’t go expecting much in the way of plot explanations just yet – though we do know that the film’s story will find the feline fencing expert (voiced as usual by Antonio Banderas) teaming up with Zach Galifianakis’ Humpty Dumpty and Salma Hayek’s slinky Kitty to find the goose that lays the golden eggs.
But in this footage, it’s mostly the crafty cat doing what he does best – showing off and wowing the crowds as he fights a bull, helps out with a piñata and rides a horse.
While the moggy became something of a breakout favourite for the Shrek franchise, it remains to be seen if audiences are ready for a concentrated dose of his character.
Puss will hit these shores on December 9.
