A lone soul traversing a weather-beaten planet to keep the flame of hope flickering for humanity... no, not the plot of **Oblivion **but the publicity tour for Tom Cruise's latest sci-fi behemoth. After Dublin and Moscow, London was the port-of-call for the actor, his co-star OIga Kurylenko and director Joseph Kosinski as they spread the word about their post-apocalyptic extravaganza.

The pair braved suitably apocalyptic windchill at the BFI IMAX to meet fans and tell journos what to expect when the movie hits the big screen next week.

**Oblivion **finds Cruise as Jack Harper, a drone repairman working on a war-ravaged, post-apocalyptic Earth. After years of conflict with a terrifying alien race known as the Scavs, humanity has triumphed, but at a terrible cost to our planet.

**Oblivion **hits cinemas on April 10. Wrap your ears around its M83-produced score in the meantime.
