United 93, Paul Greengrass’ searing treatment of the true story of 9/11’s fourth hijacked airplane, won’t hit UK cinemas until September 1, but in the meantime the movie’s new UK poster debuted online today.
A markedly different proposition from the US poster, which shows the flight approaching a distant New York (with a smoking World Trade Centre dominating the skyline), it’s an excellent piece of graphic design that shows the movie’s large cast – passengers, terrorists, and military and aviation personnel alike – before dominating them with the giant outline of the plane that would bring them all together.
