Movie hit men often come with sinister sobriquets like The Jackal and Le Samourai. Rupert Friend’s killer missed the ‘cool name’ section of assassin training and plumped for the more prosaic, but still fairly menacing 'Agent 47'. The film he’ll be doing his bloody business in, Hitman: Agent 47, has a new trailer. Catch it below.
This time around, the focus is even more on the Agent programme that created the numerically named killing machine, genetically engineered to be stronger, faster and smarter. The prime mover in all this is Rupert Friend's titular agent, who targets a mega-corporation that plans to unlock the secret of Agent 47's past to create an army of all-powerful killers. Teaming up with a young woman (Hannah Ware) who may hold the secret to overcoming their powerful and clandestine enemies, Mr. 47 faces stunning revelations about his own origins and squares off in an epic battle with his deadliest foe.
With Friend as the main man, the film also features Zachary Quinto, Ciaran Hinds, Thomas Kretschmann, Emilio Rivera and Dan Bakkedahl.
Hitman: Agent 47 sneaks into your local cinema and starts double-tapping the pick-n-mix from August 27.
