The marketing for Zack Snyder’s upcoming Sucker Punch is really beginning to hit hard as the release date creeps closer. Last year, around Comic-Con, we were treated to the character posters.Then earlier this month, the banner dropped. Now we’re back in single-character image-land with these new, all-action posters.
This time, there’s even more fun stuff going on (and mostly exploderising in the background) as the five main heroines – Emily Browning’s Babydoll, Vanessa Hudgens’ Blondie, Jena Malone’s Rocket (who bears a striking hair similarity to Link from the Zelda games), Jamie Chung’s Amber and Abbie Cornish’s Sweet Pea battle their way through the fantasy world that Snyder has conjured up.
The plot finds Browning's character thrown into an asylum and faced with A) a lobotomy and B) rape by a terrifying figure. Retreating into her mind, she discovers a crazed universe and a mission that could just see her escape her dark fate...
Sucker Punch will arrive on April 1 in glorious 2D.
