De Niro, Norton, Jovovich… this could be good. This should be good. From Stone’s latest trailer we’re not filled with a huge amount of excitement, but with the cast being the cast it is, we can’t help but hope that Bobby, Ed and Milla will pull something out the bag.
The premise isn’t of Inception-level complexity, essentially a B movie prison drama writ large on a big Hollywood budget. Con **Stone **(Norton, complete with natty cornrows) is trying to get out of prison but the only way is through his parole officer, Jack Maybury (De Niro).
So, as you do, he asks his wife Lucetta (Jovovich) to seduce Maybury, to get him into Stone’s pocket. Excited? Well, maybe. We’re in two minds about this one, as you might have guessed, so feel free to add your own opinions on this clink-based hand-wringer.
Stone is out in October this year.
