Given our standing affection for the Coen Brothers' True Grit, we're always happy to see Jeff Bridges in olde Western gear - and here he's in waistcoat and badge again on our exclusive new poster for R.I.P.D. Ryan Reynolds, however, must've forgotten his stetson somewhere along the way.
The film, as you probably know already, sees the newly-deceased Nick Walker (Reynolds) recruited to join the Rest In Peace Department, tasked with ensuring that the souls of the dead get to their proper resting place and don't cause trouble for the living. He's partnered with Bridges' gruff Roy Pulsipher and sent to work at once.
This poster does pose a few questions in our minds. Does that tagline seem a little reminiscent of **Men In Black to anyone else? Who's that in the car? What's that four-armed person or persons on the building ledge? And what's the giant sky whirlpool doing up there?
Hopefully all will become clear when Robert Schwentke's film hits on August 30, also starring Kevin Bacon and Mary-Louise Parker.
