As it battles the resistance to its mere existence, Spike Lee’s take on Oldboy is still headed to our screens later this year. Now a featurette, featuring Lee, star Josh Brolin and some of the other cast and crew talking about the film has popped up on Yahoo.

Oldboy sees businessman Joe Doucett (Brolin) kidnapped, drugged and imprisoned in a weird hotel room-like chamber for 20 years. Then, without warning, he’s released and set on a mission to discover who locked him away, and, even more importantly, why.

Along the way, he’ll have to deal with henchmen and heartbreak, and terrible secrets that could destroy him. Brolin leads a cast that also includes Sharlto Copley, Samuel L. Jackson, Elizabeth Olsen and Michael Imperioli.

In related Brolin news, he’s also been talking about some of his other recent jobs – specifically, Jason Reitman’s** Labour Day** – to film blogger David Poland. As spotted by The Playlist, Brolin also touches upon his work in Paul Thomas Anderson’s latest, the adaptation of Thomas Pynchon’s** Inherent Vice**.

“It's like, ‘let's go this way, or let's whisper the lines, and let's actually take out all the lines and we'll do it like charades once. Or, you know, like, hold him – put him on your shoulders and let's do the whole scene like that.’ He's all over the place," Brolin says. "It's just absolute f****ing chaos every day, all day. Which is great, 'cause you feel like you've done something. But, you know, we'll see how it turns out." For more on working with PTA, head here.

Inherent Vice doesn’t yet have a release date. As for Oldboy, the film will hit our screens on December 6.
