You might have noticed that across Twitter and various other corners of the web today, there’s been a viral event going on, a hunt for puzzle pieces making up a new poster for The Hunger Games. And even we were involved. Now Twitter user @JohnSHoward has put all the pieces together and the image has been unlocked over at the film’s Facebook page.

It’s all part of a countdown to the movie’s release – it’s now 100 days away, which is why the poster was scattered across 100 pieces.

For the both of you not in the know, The Hunger Games adapts the first of Suzanne Collins’ dystopian young adult trilogy. It’s the tale of Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence), a young woman who agrees to take her sister’s place in the titular event. These games are gladiatorial events run by the cruel government of Panem, designed to make sure the outlying districts don’t forget their place, mostly by recruiting two young people from each district to compete to the death as everyone else watches. Still confused? Check out our handy guide...

With Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Stanley Tucci, Donald Sutherland and Elizabeth Banks also among the main cast, The Hunger Games will arrive on March 23.
