If the first trailer wasn’t enough boar-hunting, lion-drubbing and enemy-thwarting Hercules action for you, here comes the new official promo for the film, which finds Dwayne Johnson as the unstoppable warrior himself.
In this new promo, we’re warned that man cannot escape his fate, and that even includes Hercules. With his 12 Labours behind him (some shown in flashback), Hercules has become a mercenary, taking any job going for gold or glory. But then the benevolent ruler of Thrace and his daughter seek Hercules' help to defeat a savage and terrifying warlord....
To do so, our muscular hero finds that for good to triumph and justice to prevail, he has to become a hero again. Especially since the gods that killed Herc’s family are now threatening others.
Brett Ratner was behind the camera for this one, which shot in Budapest and found the leading man embarking on his most gruelling training sessions yet. Given what he does on an average day, you know that included workouts that would leave most people throwing up. Or dead.
John Hurt, Rufus Sewell, Joseph Fiennes, Aksel Hennie, Tobias Santelmann, Rebecca Ferguson, Joe Anderson and Ingrid Bolso Berdal are all also in the cast for this new Hercules, which strides into our cinemas on July 25.
