On October 21, Mike Newell's take on Charles Dickens' classic novel, Great Expectations, is set to close the 56th BFI London Film Festival.

To coincide with its screening over in Toronto, a new trailer (see below) has be cut and released, with certain quotes from reviewers adorning the footage of Ralph Fiennes and company telling the tale of Pip and Estella, Magwitch and Miss Haversham.

With the screenplay written by David Nicholls (One Day, Starter For Ten) the film stars Helena Bonham Carter (Miss Havisham), Ralph Fiennes (Magwitch), Robbie Coltrane (Mr. Jaggers), Uncle Pumblechook (David Walliams), Jason Flemyng (Joe Gargery) and War Horse's Jeremy Irvine as the young lead, Pip. Newell's team are clearly hoping to eclipse the already successful BBC adapation from earlier in the year.

Great Expectations screens at the London Film Festival on its closing night on October 21 and opens across the country on November 30.
