As London basks in the attention of most of the sports-loving world during these Olympics, spare a thought for what might happen were the capital to be infested with hordes of undead (no, not the tourists). That's the premise of Cockneys Vs. Zombies, which sees a group of eastenders fight back against the titular mouldering menace, and we have a new poster for the film below.

The film stars Michelle Ryan, Rasmus Hardiker and Harry Treadaway as cousins who decide to rob a bank so that they'll have enough money to save their old granddad (Alan Ford) from having to leave his retirement home for some remote northern location. Mid-heist, however, a zombie epidemic reaches apocalyptic proportions and the trio have to fight their way clear - even as the pensioners face their own fight for survival.

It's all directed by Matthias Hoene and written by James Moran and Lucas Roche. Cockneys Vs. Zombies hits cinemas on August 31, so barricade your homes and brush up on Cockney rhyming slang before then.
