Here's a little Christmas miracle: some rather lovely pics from Blue Valentine, the already-award-baiting latest from director Derek Cianfrance and stars Michelle Williams and Ryan Gosling.
The film cross-cuts between times in the life of a couple played by Williams and Gosling, charting the highs and lows of their relationship over a period of years. These pics give you some idea of the vibe, although they're perhaps more focused on those highs we mentioned rather than representing the film's darker moments. Still, it's that darkness and complexity that has both leads up for Golden Globes as well as Independent Spirit awards and more.
Blue Valentine, which is not to be confused with either Blue Velvet or Valentine's Day, is out in the UK on January 14.
