With Avatar's release confirmed for December, the return of James Cameron is officially Christmas come early, as anyone who saw the Comic-Con footage will testify. Expect a drip feed of anticipation-building teasers from 20th Century Fox in the meantime (not to mention this month's **Avatar **Day, yet to be confirmed as a bank holiday), starting with this poster of Zoe Saldana as Neytiri.
The feline Neytiri is one of the blue-skinned denizens of Pandora, a planet brimming with exotic lifeforms, in which Sam Worthington's ex-Marine finds himself caught in conflict as the indigenous people fight for their survival. As an avatar - a human mind transposed into an alien body - he joins the hostilities with his loyalties severely tested.
**Avatar **also stars Sigourney Weaver, Michelle Rodriguez, Wes Studi, Giovanni Ribisi, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Laz Alonso and Peter Mensah, and it's in UK cinemas in glorious 3D from December 18.
