It’s currently sitting more in the rumour pile than the solid news slots, but word is that Melissa George – last seen in The Amityville Horror – is going to be scared again for 30 Days Of Night.
But this time she’ll be fighting back as a sheriff’s wife – and deputy – who helps her hubby battle a pack of marauding vampires. Josh Hartnett has already been cast as the sheriff of Barrow, Alaska which every year sees a of total darkness as the sun refuses to rise. When the hungry coffin-lovers decide that that’s their cue to invade the town, the couple must defend Barrow against the toothy threat.
Hard Candy’s David Slade is directing the movie, which kicks off shooting in New Zealand next month.
