Maria Bello is marrying Kevin James.
Not in real life, of course – Mrs. James might have something to say about that – but in the untitled all-star Happy Madison comedy that reunites Sandler with his old buds James, Chris Rock, David Spade and Rob Schneider.
Salma Hayek and Maya Rudolph have already signed on to play Mrs. Sandler and Mrs. Rock, respectively, in the film, which charts the reunion of old buddies after 30 years apart. We’re guessing it’ll be like The Big Chill with more knob gags.
For Bello, of course, it’ll be a chance to show off her funnybone after the ravaging psychological terrors of gruelling, heavy-duty fare like A History Of Violence, **World Trade Centre **and The Mummy: Tomb Of The Dragon Emperor.
The script for the film was written by Sandler and Fred Wolf. Dennis Dugan will direct, with filming on the Columbia Pictures movie set to start in May.
