It's one of the most praised films of the year, and just opened to huge box-office success in the US. But now Gravity has come to London, appearing last night at the BFI London Film Festival, in partnership with American Express. And director Alfonso Cuaron and Sandra Bullock were on hand to launch it. Sadly, George Clooney didn't attend last night, but Bullock was joined by producer David Heyman as well as her director.

Gravity hits cinemas in the UK on November 8, while the London Film Festival runs until October 20. Look out for much more about the film in the current issue of Empire, on sale everywhere, and online closer to release.
