London clearly hasn’t been through enough in the last few years, despite being blown up, carved up, beaten up and driven through with wild abandon. Now we have to endure the arrival of Kiefer Sutherland's Jack Bauer, who, while he saves the day, usually ends up destroying plenty of property (and one or two lives) along the way. The UK-set adventure finds Jack – still a fugitive from the American authorities, who think he’s a traitor – rocking up in London when he learns that the U.S. President (William Devane), on a diplomatic visit, is under threat from an assassination plot. Cue running around, shouting “Damnit!” shooting people, blowing stuff up… Also known as business as usual from the Bauer School Of Getting Stuff Done.
Fellow series veterans Mary Lynn Rajskub and Kim Raver are back, plus newcomers to the show Colin Salmon, John Boyega, Giles Matthey, Gbenga Akinnagbe, Michael Wincott, Yvonne Strahovski and Michelle Fairley. Oh, and Stephen Fry as the Prime Minister. The series kicks off in the US on May 5, with a UK airdate announcement expected soon.
