Julia Roberts is becoming an action hero. At least that's what we have to assume from the title of her latest project. After all, what says guns, bangs and sweaty vests more than The Friday Night Knitting Club?

Wait just a second, it seems Hollywood is playing with our expecations again and this is not a sci-fi action comedy. Who knew? It is in fact a story of a single mother who runs a knitting shop and gathers her customers together every weekend for nattering and pearling. But then a tragedy occurs, forcing the needle clickers to face up to the fact that they've created more than a knitting club. Have they created a giant robot dragon that eats skyscrapers and has crazy lazer eyes and an insatiable thirst for civilian blood? Well, we'll just have to wait until the movie's released won't we. Ooooh, exciting!

The film will be directed by Mike Binder, who most recently directed Adam Sandler drama Reign Over Me. He does not have a history of robot dragons in movies, so our hopes of seeing that are diminishing.
