Having spent six seasons battling terrorists and generally keeping the world safe, **24 **creator Joel Surnow has wisely turned to something rather more sedate for his latest project.

The decidedly Jack Bauer-less romantic-comedy That Face, based on a Surnow screenplay, will be made by Morgan Creek Production, says The Hollywood Reporter.

It’s all about a small-town guy who moves to New York to work at a cosmetics firm, only to be fired on his first day. He gets chance at redemption when, after snapping a beautiful girl on the subway, he decides to promote her as the city’s greatest new supermodel – however, it soon turns out that despite her good looks, her slovenly ways and foul-mouthed temper are going to take a fair amount of polishing.

It’s all sounding rather Pygmalion-ish, but Surnow’s attachment to the project (who has usually been associated with thriller and action fare) makes this an interesting proposition.
