When you think of enduring director/actor partnerships these days, Scorsese and DiCaprio or Winding Refn and Gosling might spring to mind, but on these shores Joanna Hogg and Tom Hiddleston are quietly establishing a similar rapport.**

Unrelated and 2010's highly praised character piece ** Archipelago (see below) led the way and now the pair have joined forces again with Hogg calling "action" on her latest film, an as-yet untitled London-set project.

The shoot, which takes place over six weeks in west London, sees Hiddleston offering high-quality support to leads Viv Albertine, once guitarist of the Slits, and British conceptional artist Liam Gillick.

Hogg's **Archipelago **had some horrifyingly funny moments but this one could see her navigating darker waters. "I continue to be fascinated by the blurred line between the comic and the horrendous", explains the director, "but depicting this in an ordinary, everyday context which is closer to home and more terrifying."

With Artificial Eye picking up UK distribution rights, expect this one on our screens some time in 2013.
