Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones

Among the various Marvel/Netflix shows, Season One of Jessica Jones was a definite highlight, introducing the wider world to the caustic, yet charming private detective with a line in smart quips and a yen for the bottle.

Krysten Ritter returns to portray Jessica, who is still feeling the fallout of her encounter with psychopathic psychic Kilgrave (David Tennant) and learning that she can sometimes lean on her friends (including Rachael Taylor's Trish Walker).

From the looks of the first trailer for the new season – set to the thundering tones of Heart's Barracuda – we can expect more of the same from this second run, whether or not it acknowledges Jessica's time with the Defenders or not.

Eka Darville and Carrie-Anne Moss are also among the returning cast for the show, which will be back on Netflix on 8 March.
