Train To Busan

Remakes, even with someone as experienced and respected as James Wan acting as producer, are usually greeted with a chorus of "why???!" and "is Hollywood so out of ideas???!" We firmly expect the same to happen here, as the Conjuring overseer and one of that horror franchise's regular writers, Gary Dauberman have boarded a new version of hit Korean zombie pic Train To Busan.

Yeon Sang-ho’s 2016 original was a pulse-pounding horror that saw a father and daughter boarding the titular train as an undead outbreak spread across the country. He's recently announced plans for a follow-up called Bando, which translates as 'peninsula'.

Whether any new film can match the relentless pace of the original remains to be seen, but with Wan and Dauberman attached, New Line (which handles the Conjuring films) has won a frenzied bidding war for the project over the likes of Lionsgate, Paramount and Screen Gems.
