Christopher Nolan is, predictably, sticking with his slow burn, less-is-more approach to promotion for his latest endeavour, sci-fi adventure Interstellar. We’ve had one basic teaser that eschewed all but the briefest glimpse of the actual film, but a new trailer should be online soon, given that it arrives in cinemas attached to Godzilla. Before that happens, here’s the teaser poster.

In keeping with the theme of the footage snippet we saw in the teaser, the poster boasts a rocket launch and a farm background, with a low-key but promising tag.

What we know of the actual film’s plot so far finds Earth in dire ecological straights and its children looking to the stars for potential salvation with a mission to travel through a wormhole to find a new home. Beyond that, all involved have stayed quiet, lest Nolan visit them in the night with a cricket bat and/or Batman (well, we know they hang out).

As for who “they” might be, the cast includes Matthew McConaughey, Jessica Chastain, Anne Hathaway, Wes Bentley, Casey Affleck, Michael Caine, David Oyelowo, Topher Grace, Mackenzie Foy, Matt Damon, John Lithgow and Ellen Burstyn. The movie itself will finally be revealed on November 7.
