The Inbetweeners Film Gets A Teaser

When you read back in February that The Inbetweeners were making a movie, did you believe it? Did you? Did you though? Well, to banish any disbelief from your minds, the team behind the move have released the first teaser trailer for the finished product over on the boys’ official Facebook page.

Right now there’s not exactly a lot of footage from the film, just a long tracking shot of Will (Simon Bird), Jay (James Buckley), Neil (Blake Harrison) and Simon (Joe Thomas) wandering the party central streets of Cyprus’ Malia resort town. And checking out the girls.

That’s about all they’ve released about the plot, too, though you’ve got to figure that there’ll be the usual madness with Will being nervous, Simon being awkward and Jay claiming that he’s slept with everything in sight when he’s actually just a bumbling, foul-mouthed loon. (If you need any evidence, just check out the only line in the teaser, which arrives at the end and happens to be his).

Oh, we’re also promised appearances from Emily Head as Carli, Belinda Stewart-Wilson as Will’s Mum and Greg Davies as the snark-tastic Mr Gilbert.

The film is set for release on August 19, so we’re guessing there’ll be at least one more trailer before then. Unless they spent the marketing budget on booze, that is…
