Brett Ratner has been chatting to USA Today about his casting for Rush Hour 3. He’s also been talking a little more about the premise, though it’s hardly surprising news.

"In the first movie Jackie (Chan) was a fish out of water in LA, then Chris (Tucker) was one in the second movie in Hong Kong. Now they are both fish out of water," he tells the newspaper, as the film is being shot partly in France. He also dropped the name of a new cast member – The Last Samurai’s Hiroyuki Sanada, who will be playing a villain. "He's a brilliant actor with a martial arts background who has done some incredible films," according to Ratner.

With Max Von Sydow, Roman Polanski and Vinnie Jones (surely a dream team) also in the cast, filming is underway for a summer 2007 release.
