Happy Feet 2 On Its Way?

But not before Mad Max 4

Happy Feet 2 On Its Way?

Now, whatever we may personally think of the dancing penguin 'comedy' Happy Feet - and we think penguin's going insane and being turned into weird robot transmitters is a strange idea of comedy - there's no denying the film has been a massive hit around the world. It's right there in black and white for all to see (sorry). Pulling in $350million worldwide and an Academy Award nomination for Best Animated Picture, a sequel would seem a no brainer.

"It's certainly now a possibility," says director George Miller, although he says it won't be next on his slate. That may be saved for the fourth in the Mad Max series. "There's three or four films I want to do before I would ever embark on [Happy Feet 2], including Mad Max 4, sooner or later". A fourth Max film has been on the cards for a while, but is not set to star Mel Gibson, now 50. Maybe Miller could combine the two sequels and send a penguin on a violent rampage through the desert. It couldn't be any more freaky than Babe 2: Pig in Hell, sorry, The City.
