There’s a part of us that wants Robert De Niro’s The Good Shepherd to be an explosive thriller set in the world of One Man And His Dog.
But since it’s a historical drama set during The Cold War and the birth of the CIA, it’s unlikely to feature many actual sheep. De Niro’s film sees Matt Damon as one of the earliest recruits who starts out wide-eyed and idealistic, only to become paranoid and distant from his family, including wife Angelina Jolie.
