One currently only for our US readers, this one. You can now download Wes Anderson's short film Hotel Chevalier for free from iTunes. Sadly, it's not yet available outside the US, as we discovered when we searched iTunes for the movie and turned up only En El Hotel, by Willy Chevalier, which is a bit weird and not really worth your 79p.
Hotel Chevalier is a short that acts as a prologue to Anderson's new movie The Darjeeling Limited. It sees Jason Schwartzman, who plays one of three brothers travelling through India in Darjeeling (the others being Adrian Brody and Owen Wilson), in a tryst with ex-girlfriend Natalie Portman and gives a bit of background on Schwartzman's character. The film got good reaction when it was shown at the Venice Film Festival.
Hopefully the film will be made available to UK viewers before the film's British release on November 23.
