If you're any kind of George Lucas fan, you'll know that the multi-hyphenate, multi-gazzillionaire's next project after Indy IV is Red Tails. You will also know that it's got absolutely nothing to do with wookiees, midichlorians or anyone being anyone else's father ("NOOOOOOOOO!!!!").

Red Tails, which Lucas is set to produce rather than direct, is the story of the Tuskegee Airmen, the first African-American pilots to fly in the U.S. military. The film's title comes from the fact that the planes flown by these men were marked with red tails.

The film has now found a screenwriter in John Ridley, who was hired based on a screenplay he wrote for L.A. Riots, a Spike Lee movie planned for 2009. Ridley's previous writing duties have included U-Turn, story work on David O'Russell's Three Kings and episodes of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. The latter gives you probably the wrong idea in terms of tone, but everybody loves The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
