Comic-Con is like Cannes, but with more movies you've actually heard of. For all movies based on comic books – and increasingly just blockbuster movies in general – it is inarguably the most important event in the movie calendar, a first chance for fans to see how their most anticipated movies are coming on. The full line-up has now been announced and it sounds like this year could be a good'un.
You can read the full, exhaustive list here, but the highlights include first looks at Universal's new vision of The Wolfman; the fourth terminator movie, Terminator Salvation; Pixar's next movie Up; Keanu Reeves-starring remake of The Day The Earth Stood Still; Frank Miller's directorial debut, The Spirit; Mark Wahlberg actioner Max Payne; and Twilight (a vampire film that boasts probably the most enthusiastic fans ever). But the one sure to draw the biggest crowds will be Watchmen, which should see most of the cast and crew out in force.
Empire will be there, covering all the biggest events and bringing you all the hottest news. And, never fear, Chris and Sam shall be there, buggering about with blogs. So make sure to check Empire regularly when Comic-Con opens on July 24. You wouldn't want to miss anything.
