The release of Tim Burton’s new 3D stop-motion Frankenweenie creeps ever closer (especially if you scored tickets to the opening gala of the London Film Festival). To keep your anticipation levels high, Disney has unleashed a new clip from the film, featuring weirdo teacher Mr. Ryzkruski (voiced by Martin Landau). Take a gander below.

It’s this slightly creepy, lightning-obsessed educator who inspires our hero Victor (Charlie Tahan) to start dabbling in the possibilities of using electric current in his experiments. Especially the one where he brings back beloved, deceased pooch Sparky. Little does he know the trouble that one idea will cause…

Promising horrific delights and plenty of Burtonesque styling, Frankenweenie already has us salivating at the idea of seeing the director’s short jolted back to life as a full-length tale.

And if you’re interested in the behind-the-scenes action, there’s also a 360-degree tour of one of the sets online, led by producer Allison Abbate. Check that one out here.

Those without LFF access won’t have to wait too long to see the movie: it’ll hit cinemas on October 17.
