Need some scares this Thursday evening? Then you could do worse than watch this trailer for John Carpenter's The Ward, the return of a horror veteran after too long away from our screens. The film's out on January 21 here in the UK (ahead of the rest of the English-speaking world, which is nice) but this is the first full trailer.
Set in the 1960s, the story sees Amber Heard's Kristen committed to an asylum with no memory of what brought her there. Inside, she's terrorised by a ghost - but who's going to believe a crazy girl who's seeing things?
By the looks of this trailer, this has every single scary thing in the history of movies in it: sinister doctors, medical instruments, blood, monsters, ghosts and mind games. On the other hand, there are pretty girls in a shower, so that might get one section of the audience through it all quite happily.
